Checking Engine Start System
CAUTION
• Do not allow anyone near the tractor while testing.
• If the tractor does not pass the test, do not operate the
tractor.
 Preparation before testing
1. Place all control levers in the "NEUTRAL" position.
2. Set the parking brake and stop the engine.
[Manual Transmission Type]
 Test: Switch for the shuttle shift lever.
1. Sit on the operator's seat.
2. Shift the shuttle shift lever to the forward or reverse position.
3. Depress the clutch pedal fully.
4. Disengage the PTO clutch control switch or lever.
5. Turn the key to "START" position.
6. The engine must not crank.
 Test: Switch for the PTO clutch control switch or lever.
1. Sit on the operator's seat.
2. Engage the PTO clutch control switch or lever.
3. Depress the clutch pedal fully.
4. Shift the shuttle shift lever to the neutral position.
5. Turn the key to "START" position.
6. The engine must not crank.
[HST Type]
 Test: Switch for the speed control pedal.
1. Sit on the operator's seat.
2. Depress the speed control pedal to the desired direction.
3. Disengage the PTO clutch control switch or lever.
4. Turn the key to "START" position.
5. The engine must not crank.
 Test: Switch for the PTO clutch control switch or lever.
1. Sit on the operator's seat.
2. Engage the PTO clutch control switch or lever.
3. Place the speed control pedal in neutral position.
4. Turn the key to "START" position.
5. The engine must not crank.

CAUTION

 Preparation before testing
1. Place all control levers in the "NEUTRAL" position.
2. Set the parking brake and stop the engine.
 Test: Switch for the operator's seat.
1. Sit on the operator's seat.
2. Start the engine.
3. Engage the PTO clutch control switch or lever.
4. Stand up. (Do not get off the machine.)
5. The engine must shut off after approximately 1 second.
