Importing using WebDAV Protocol
By using Xerox’s application software that is compliant with the
WebDAV protocol, you can import documents stored in a mailbox
without using the scan driver. In addition, you can also display a
document list and thumbnail of the documents stored in the
mailbox.
Since the WebDAV protocol uses HTTP port, if a communication
via HTTP is encrypted, then importing a scanned document using
WebDAV protocol will also be encrypted.
In order to use the WebDAV protocol, the WebDAV port and
Internet service (HTTP) port must first be enabled on the
machine. For information about setting up the WebDAV protocol,
refer to “WebDAV” on page 3-31. For information about its
operating instructions on application software, refer to the user
guide that is provided with the specific application software.
