Building Very Close to the Platform Borders
DMP control shows the preferred calibrated building area with the light colored contour. Attempting to print outside of this area will have
a signicant inuence on the aConfccuracy. Optically, you will not damage the machine or the part as long as you stay away from the 4
corners.
Caution: Do not scan on the print module. The scanner zero point is not always exactly in the center of the build
platform.
To verify if your part is not outside of the platform, you can ‘test’ the location by manually pointing the scanner to the test location.
1. Switch on the red laser diode/pointer to see the location of the spot:
2. Select Machine > Laser > check ‘Show laser diode’
3. From DMP Control, select Machine > Scanner > Direct scanner control.
4. Move the scanner to the requested ‘test’ location and verify it is inside the printing plate.
5. If the spot is not inside the printing plate, shift your part in DMP Control to match the real position.
