MATERIAL CHANGE: CHANGING POWDER IN A BUILD MODULE
CAUTION: Before changing powder make sure you use appropriate safety equipment.
This procedure is to be followed if you are operating with one build
module and need to change the type of powder that is contained in
that module.

1. Remove all powder from the platform by rst brushing all excess
powder into the feeds.
2. Empty feeds into bins, ensuring you don’t overow the bins
below the feeds.
NOTE: You may have to do this in steps, as bins get full,
empty into sieving station and rell bins until feeds are
completely empty.
3. Clean platform, feeds and all areas you can reach using a wet
separator, explosion proof vacuum cleaner and paper towels with
isopropyl alcohol.
4. Move the platform completely up and down a couple of times to
loosen any powder. When platforms are down, clean power that
sticks to the side of the module.
5. Shut down the printer.
6. Remove the module from the process chamber using the module
cart.
a. Locking the module cart to process chamber by turning the
wheel clockwise, until the module cart is locked. Now slide
the module on the cart and start turning the wheel counter
clockwise until the module is xed on the cart.
