Purging Used Material
1. Using a stainless steel trowel level the material in the material
bins until they are leveled at.
NOTE: This doesn’t have to be exact. As long as they are
level to the eye, that is sufcient.
2. Raise the material bins up so they are approximately 25 mm
above the print platform as shown. Begin to push excess material
into the overow so it can be removed from printer.
3. Continue purging material until the feed level is about 10000µm
higher than the user position set in the previous section. All
powder underneath this level has not yet been used and needn’t
necessarily be purged and sieved.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the opposite side.
5. Move the airow nozzle up and out of the way.
6. Check if the stops are down and operating.
