Inspection, oil level gearbox 4
The procedure below details how to inspect the oil level in gearbox axis 4.
Action Note
1.
WARNING!
Handling gearbox oil involves several safety
risks. Before proceeding, please read the
safety information in the section WARNING -
Safety risks during work with gearbox
lubricants (oil or grease) on page 44.
2. Move the robot to the calibration position. Shown in the section Calibration scale
and correct axis position on page 390.
3.
DANGER!
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and
pneumatic pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots:
Do not turn off the air pressure to motors and
SMB.
4. Open the oil plug, filling. Shown in the figure Location of
gearbox on page 128.
5. Required oil level: maximum 10 mm below the
oil plug hole.
6. Add oil if required. Art. no. is specified in Required
equipment on page 128.
Further information about how to fill the
oil may be found in the section Filling,
oil on page 176.
7. Refit the oil plug. Tightening torque: 24 Nm.
