Filling, oil
The procedure below details how to fill oil into the gearbox, axis 2.
When using the oil exchange equipment, follow the instructions enclosed with the kit. Art.
no. for the kit is specified in Required equipment on page 168.
Action Note
1.
DANGER!
Turn off all electric power, hydraulic and pneumatic
pressure supplies to the robot!
For Foundry Prime robots:
Do not turn off the air pressure to motors and SMB.

WARNING!
Handling gearbox oil involves several safety risks.
Before proceeding, please read the safety
information in the section WARNING - Safety risks
during work with gearbox lubricants (oil or grease)
on page 44.
3. Remove the oil plug, filling and the oil plug,
inspection.
Shown in the figure Location of oil
plugs on page 168.
4. Refill the gearbox with lubricating oil.
The amount of oil to be refilled depends on the
amount previously being drained. The correct oil
level is detailed in section Inspection, oil level
gearbox axis 2 on page 124 .

NOTE!
Don´t mix Kyodo Yushi TMO 150 with other oil
types!

gearboxes on page 161.
6. Refit the oil plug. Tightening torque: 24 Nm.
