Remove the oil plug, draining.5

Used oil is hazardous material and must
be disposed of in a safe way. See Decom-
missioning on page 585 for more informa-
tion.

Draining is time-consuming.
Elapsed time varies depending on the
temperature of the oil.
Drain the gearbox oil.7
Remove and clean the pipe after the oil is
drained.
Note
There will be some oil left in the gearbox
after draining.

Tightening torque: 10 NmRefit oil plugs.9
