3.6 I/O system
3.6.1 Available fieldbuses
General
The controller can be fitted with a number of different fieldbus boards and software
based fieldbuses. The software based fieldbuses do not require any hardware.
Fieldbus connections
There is a slot available for installing a fieldbus board (PCIe) on the main computer,
with process connectors on the front panel.
The software based fieldbuses are connected directly to one of the Ethernet ports.
