-EN Rev. E Operating instruction SCK Gas Sampling System 129
The electric heating of probe H is driven by a fixed voltage generated by the
transformer installed in the control cabinet. Excessively long supply lines or
incorrectly chosen cross-sections of the supply lines can lead to massive
voltage drops en route to the gas sampling probe. This leads to reduced
heating output and problems with probe operation.
Proceed as follows:
Step Procedure
1
Check voltage between Ground and the probe-side terminal
connections
or
.
2
The following minimum values must be reached:
Probe length / m
1,5 2 2,5 3 3,5
Minimum voltage / V
24 26 26 28 30
If these values are not reached, the system must not be put
into operation in this set-up as adequate heating of the inte-
grated metal filter cannot be guaranteed and this may lead to
condensation and clogging of the probe.
Check the following possibilities for adequate supply:
Lay larger cross-sections
Reduce lengths of supply lines
