Start ventilation mode: nCPAP
1. Enter the following settings:
• CPAP: 5 mbar
• Pmanual: 15 mbar
2. Press and hold the Manual
Breath button
Pressure of 15 ±2 mbar is
achieved on the Pressure
graph.
1. Disconnect patient supply line from the
device
2. Reconnect the tube.
Alarm: Patient Disconnection
Water fill level sufficient.
Function OK
Unplug power cord
Reconnect power cord

5.4 System standby / pause
Standby stopping mechanical ventilation
Standby – stopping mechanical ventilation
The Start ∕ Stop button can be used to interrupt Mechanical ventilation.
• In nCPAP, DUOPAP and O
2
Therapy mode ventilation could
be interrupted indefinitely.
• The built-in gas mixer delivers a minimal flow to prevent heat
build-up inside the Ventilatory Gas Humidifier.
• Ventilation resumes once the button is pressed again.
Risk of Oxygen undersupply
• The Standby function is NOT intended for suctioning.
• During Standby a disconnection or reconnection is NOT recognized.
The Standby stopping / pausing Ventilation must NOT be used while ventilator
is connected to the patient.
For device standby:
1. Remove patient from ventilator.
2. Press and hold the Start ∕ Stop button till a menu will appear on the screen stating, “Do
you want to switch to standby or shut down the device?”
3. Press Standby to switch to standby.
When the ventilation has stopped the Information bar will display the following message
