14 Ventilator service and maintenance intervals
Always clean and disinfect equipment or equipment components before any maintenance including
when returning the equipment for repair.
The expected service life of fabian is 8 years, assuming the servicing operations are performed as
specified by the manufacturer.
Every 12 months:
Maintenance and Safety Inspections
Perform the following work:
Check alarm and limit value functions
Check Electrical connections
Check Pressure connections
Check Safety Shutdown Calibration
Device check as specified by manufacturer
Replace the following components:
Air and Oxygen Input Filters
Cooling Air Filter (casing bottom)
Flow sensor

Every 4 years:
Replace the following components:
Air and Oxygen Input Filters
Battery Pack
Calibration Valves
Cooling Air Filter (casing bottom)
Flow sensor
Input pressure regulators pressurized Air
Oxygen
Proportional Valves pressurized Air
Oxygen mixer
Lithium Battery (real time clock battery)

Maintenance and safety inspections must be performed by ACUTRONIC
Medical Systems trained personnel with access to suitable testing and
measuring equipment.
Maintenance Interval Indicator. The symbol will appear in the Information bar 30
days before the next maintenance has to be performed.
14.1 Disposal
fabian must not be disposed of with household waste but must be handed in for
disposal as electrical and electronic equipment, including battery / batteries
according to applicable national, regional and local rules, laws and regulations.
Accessories and consumables must be disposed of in accordance with the
relevant instructions for use. For information, contact your local environmental or
regulatory agency, or an appropriate waste disposal company.
