NOTE: The frequency of these procedures will depend on the particular
system, its operating environment, and amount of usage. Use the times in
Table 6-2 as guidelines and modify the schedule as needed.
6.3 Checking Safety Systems
These tests should be done every six months.
1. Test operation of:
• E-Stop button on Front Panel
• E-Stop button on pendant
• Enabling switch on pendant
• Auto/Manual switch on Front Panel
NOTE: Operating any of the above switches should disable High Power.
2. Test operation of any external (user supplied) E-Stop buttons.
3. Test operation of barrier interlocks, etc.
Check for signs of oil around of harmonic drive area. 3 months See Section 6.5.
Lubricate Joint 3 (Z-axis) ball screw 3 months See Section 6.6
Replace Encoder battery 5 to 10 years
