Troubleshooting & Service
10. Place the shipping foam on the rim of the enclosure and close the
front door.
11. Carefully pack the instrument and all hardware accessories. Do not
include the system fluid bottle, waste bottle, or other test supplies
unless instructed to do so by Advanced Instruments Service personnel.
Be sure to prepay for any shipment to the factory. Advanced Instruments
cannot accept collect shipments without prior factory approval. Please
insure the shipment, or accept the damage risk.
Routine maintenance
Maintenance must be performed on a regular basis in order to maintain
the A
2
O’s accuracy and precision. The schedule below outlines the proper
intervals to check and replace components of the instrument.
Daily Maintenance Routines:
1. System Fluid and Waste Containers
Visually inspect the fluids in these containers.
Ensure the System Fluid bottle is not empty.
Ensure the Waste container is not full.
Inspect the system fluid lines to ensure that they are not pinched or
damaged.
NOTE To maintain the anti-microbial properties of the A
2
O system
fluid, the complete contents of a bottle should be used or
replaced within 30 days of opening.
2. Syringe
The continuous up and down movements of the syringe during opera-
tion can loosen the syringe screw and cause leakage of the liquid sys-
tem.
Check and manually tighten the syringe screw (Figure 43).
The syringe pump should be primed with A
2
O System Fluid (part
no.
200222) when not in use.
