• Do not allow the syringe pump to run dry for more than a few
cycles.
• Inspect the syringe pump for leaks and correct any problems
immediately.
• Wipe all spills on and around the syringe pump immediately.
3. Pipette
The pipette must be cleaned daily and replaced annually.
CAUTION Electrostatic discharge to the pipette may damage the
liquid level detection.
• Use the Shutdown button on the System Configuration screen
before turning the power switch off (Figure 44).
• Clean the pipette by wiping it with a lint-free cloth dampened with
