Example Read Message from a GuardLogix Controller
This GuardLogix message instruction, programmed in RSLogix 5000
software using the command format parameters on page 207, reads
the SmartGuard data.
Sending Explicit Messages
A SmartGuard controller can send explicit messages from a user
application program. User-registered messages are sent over the
network when user-specified trigger conditions are met. This can be
used to notify monitoring and control devices or as a method for
specifying outputs to display devices. Up to 32 bytes of explicit
message data can be sent.

Parameter Name Data Size
MAC ID 1 byte
Service Code 1 byte
Class ID 2 bytes
Instance ID 2 bytes
Service Data 0 to 26 bytes
