•
Move the gear from the mounting tool
to the camshaft.
•
Unscrew and remove the two screws
(1).
•
Remove the tool.
Specific tooling
020865Y Support for camshaft gear on head
•
Fit the U bolt and the oil pipe.
•
Tighten the two U bolt screws (1) and
the screw (2) that was not fitted previ-
ously.
•
Align the intake camshaft with the spe-
cific hole on the U bolt.
•
Insert the specified pin.
Specific tooling
020851Y Camshaft timing pin
•
Apply Loctite 243 thread lock on the
thread of the timing gear fastener
screw. This screw must be replaced at
each reassembly.
•
Apply and loosely tighten the gear fix-
ing screw on the camshaft.
