send or receive content in place of dual video. In this case, the bandwidth used by the web1
collaboration stream is automatically managed by the server and not influenced by XT Series2
configuration.3
During a videoconference, your computer content is private and is only shared with others when4
you manually choose to do so.5
Before you begin6
(Optional) To automatically start displaying content locally as soon as you connect a7
computer, access the presentation settings . From the XT Series web interface, select8
Administrator Settings > Presentation > General. From the endpoint's main menu, select9
Configure > Advanced > Presentation.10

Set Local Presentation Mode to Automatic (endpoint’s interface) or <auto> (web13
interface). In this mode, the system always shows the computer content when not in a call,14
and asks if you want to accept incoming calls. To start sharing content with remote15
participants in a videoconference, follow the procedure below.16
Connect your computer to the XT Series (see
Connecting a Computer to the XT Series using17
the DVI port on page 72).18
Procedure19

To share computer content with participants in a videoconference, press Present
on20
the XT Remote Control Unit, from the endpoint's main menu, or from the in-call menu.21
From the XT Series web interface, select More Actions > Presentation.22
If you are only using the XT Series for a local presentation, your computer content is23
typically displayed automatically when you connect it to the XT Codec Unit. You only need24
to perform this step if you set Local Presentation Mode to Manual (see Before you25
begin on page 77).26
The XT Executive screen displays a presenting icon in the bottom corner to indicate27
your computer content is visible to others during a call. In addition, if you use Avaya28

XT Control to navigate menus with a keyboard and mouse, the icon in the taskbar29
changes to .30

or Back on the XT Remote31
