7.4 Requirements to the connecting cables
h Take into account IEC/EN 60204-1, Chapter 13 when selecting the cable.

he protective ground cross-section of the cable must be compliant with IEC/
EN 60204-1, Section 5.2, Tab. 1.
h A fixed conn
ection for the protective ground conductor is mandatorily specified for op-
eration of the device.
h Use cop
per cable approved for a minimum of 60 °C (drives < 3 x 100 A) or 75 °C
(drives 3 x 100 A), if comply with UL 508C.

7.5 Protection of the device and the cable
Fuses must be installed to protect this device and the cables against overload and pos-
sible damage/destruction through the electrical power supply. For data on the required
fuses, see ZFuses– from page 273.
