2 Sewing preparation
2.1 Before using the machine for the first time
BERNINA recommends lubricating the hook before using the machine for the first time or after a longer
period of non-use. (see page163)
By oiling the hook, the occurrence of unwanted noises in the hook area can be avoided.
2.2 Accessory box
Accessory box free standing
> On the back of the box, pull both extensions out until they click into place.
Storing accessories

> Insert the holders (1) for bobbins, feet and needles.
> Store the small parts, e.g. thread discs etc., in the drawers (2) and (3).
> Store the Buttonhole foot with slide#3A in compartment(4).
> Store the provided needle package in the special compartment (5).
