In the case of Hiperface encoders, the sense line (settings “5-intern, Sense” or “6-Via
X410A, sense“) is typically not used, as it is not defined in the Hiperface standard Speci-
fication. Thus, using the sense line is not required in the case of Hiperface encoders.
