13.2.3 Dismantling of the Bioprinting Cap
After printing, the Visco Tool Bio can be cleaned easily by disposing of the bioprinting cap, rotor,
piston and needle. If the drive unit is contaminated with the material, it can be wiped clean using
cleaning agents such as isopropanol (70%), hydrogen peroxide (0.1 to 3%) and alcohol.
Unscrew and dispose of the dosing needle [8].
Unlock the bioprinting cap [2].
Detach and dispose of the bioprinting cap [2].
Detach and dispose of the rotor [6].
NB: The rotor [6] has come into contact with the material. Always wear gloves when detaching the
rotor. The gloves must be changed immediately after detaching the rotor. This ensures that no other
components are contaminated.
