3.4.3.4 Configuring the MicroDroplet Tools
The configuration of MicroDroplet Tool and MicroDroplet Tool Heated differs from the other print
heads. They are based on valve-actuated dosing technology, enabling precision dosing of droplets
and having a standard nozzle instead of a Luer-Lock needle.
43. Needle diameter Set the inner diameter (I.D.) of the nozzle in millimeters. The standard
diameter for MicroDroplet Tool nozzle is 0.32 mm.
44. Tool pressure Set the dispensing pressure in millibars (0500 mbar).
45. Valve Open Time Set the Valve Open Time in milliseconds (1010 000 ms). If the valve
open time is not set here, the valve open time will be calculated according to the object
volume selected in Slicer.
46. Viscosity Set the viscosity of the dispensable material (mPas).
47. Save material After configuring all the printing parameters for the material, click SAVE
MATERIAL.
NB: The valve opening time required to dispense the volume determined by the object size in the
Slicer tab is calculated according to the Tool pressure and Viscosity values set in this Material
configuration menu.
