• Selector 4: Brother Paper mode
Setting this selector to "1" switches to print with control enabled for enhanced
printing quality, as customized for Brother Paper.
• Selector 5: Improvement of mist stains on the second side
Setting this selector to "0" switches the minimum ink drip during printing from 1.5 pl
to 3 pl under the following printing conditions, thereby improving mist stains on the
second side.
- Printing mode: media print, JPEG PC printing, AirPrint, Cloud printing
- Resolution: 1,200 x 2,400 dpi
- Paper size: postcard, 4 x 6 in
Set this selector to "1" for high-quality printing. Mist stains may occur in this selection.
• Selector 6: Ignore the sensor for paper tray 2
In a machine with paper tray 2, "Paper tray #2 not detected" is displayed on the
LCD when the paper tray 2 is not connected.
Setting this selector to "1" enables to use the machine without the caution message
displayed, even if paper tray 2 is not connected.
• Selector 7: Disable display of MP tray setting request screen
Setting this selector to “1” disables display of the setting request screen when the
recording paper is loaded into the MP tray.
• Selector 8: Disable display of wrong setting screen before printing
Setting this selector to “1” disables display of the wrong setting screen before
printing.
