Tobackllatrenchefcientlyitisnecessarytomovethe
maximumamountofsoilwithoutlosingspeed.If“stall”oc-
cursdownshiftorreducethedepthofcut.Ifthemachine
isnotworkingatcapacityinthegearselected,increase
thedepthofcut.Operateatrightanglestothetrench
withtheloaderbucketlevel.Leavethesoilinthebucket
asemptyingthebucketoneachpassistime-consuming,
andleavesoilthatdriftsoverthesideofthebucketfor
thenalcleanup.Onelengthwisecleanupisusuallysuf-
cienttogainanacceptablegradeafterbacklling.When
backllingfromalargepile,shovelthetopofthepileby
pushingtowardtheexcavation.Dragsomesoilrearwards
toformaworkrampoftheconvenientgrade.Ifduringthe
backlloperationthemachinefrontwheelsgetstuckina
trenchdumpthebucketandapplydownpressuretolift
thefrontwheelsfromthetrench.Actuatethebucketas
enginepowerisappliedtomovethemachinerearwards.
NOTE:Maximumbucketdownpressuremaybeobtained
byprogressivelyshiftingtheloaderattachmentlevertothe
right.
NOTICE:Thesafeworkingloadoftheloaderattachment
iscalculatedusingastandardbucket,therefore,whenus-
inganotherbucketorattachmentforliftingorhandlinga
load,theweightofthebucketorattachmentmustbetaken
intoaccountwhencalculatingtheratedloadoftheloader
attachment.Safeworkingload=1000kg(2205lb).
