Startingtheengine
1.Checkthattheseat(1)isproperlylockedintheloader
attachmentworkingposition.
2.Adjusttheseatandfastentheseatbelt.
3.Checkthattheparkingbrakelever(2)isinraisedpo-
sition.
4.Checkthattheengineacceleratorleverisinidleposi-
tion.
5.Checkthatthedirection-of-travellever(3)isinneutral
position.
6.Checkthatthegearshiftlever(4)isinneutralposition.

Turnthestarterswitchkeytothe“ON”position.Onlybat-
terylamp(8),engineoilpressurewarninglamp(5),and
coldstartindicator(9)willremainonalongwithgauges
(6)and(7)settoposition.Presstheacceleratorpedal
downaboutaquarteroftheway.Waittillthecoldstart
indicator(9)goesoffandthenturnthekeytothestarting
position.Releasethekeyassoonastheenginestarts.
Iftheenginefailstostart,turnthestarterswitchkeyto
“OFF”positionandwaitabout1minbeforestartingthe
operationagain.
Afterstartingtheenginerunitatlowidleforatleast1min
toensurelubricationtoturbocharger.
NOTICE:Donotoperatethestartermotorformorethan
20satatime.Donotoperatethestartermotorwhenthe
engineisrunning.
Whentheengineisrunning,checktheindicatorsandin-
dicatorlampstomakesurethatallsystemsareoperating
correctly.Usingtheacceleratorpedal,runtheengineat
halfspeeduntilithasreachednormaloperatingtemper-
ature.
