Engineoilandoillter–Change
1.FollowMachinesafetyposition(ReferEngine-Safety
rules)
2.Openandraisetheenginetilthood.
3.Placeacontainerwithsuitablecapacityundertheen-
gine.
4.Removethecapofthellerneck.
5.Removetheenginecrankcasedrainvalve.
NOTE:Draintheengineoilwhenitisstillhot.Theoilwill
owmoreeasily.
6.Nowwaitfortheoiltocompletelyowoutoftheengine.
7.Tightenthedrainplug.Torque:95N·m(70lbft).
8.Unscrewandremovethecartridge(1).
9.Applyathinlayerofcleanoilonthesealofthenew
cartridge.
NOTE:Donotllthenewlterwithoilbeforeinstallingit.
10.Assemblethenewcartridge(1).
11.Manuallyscrewinthecartridgeuntilthesealtouches
thesupport(2).
12.Tightenitfurtherby3/4ofaturn.
NOTE:Overtighteningcandamagethelterseal.Donot
usenongenuinespareparts.Enginemaygetdamagedby
usinganongenuinelterandnonapprovedoil.
