NOTE:Thereisariskofseriousinjuryifmaintenanceor
repairsarenotperformedcorrectly.Ifyoudonotunder-
standthemaintenanceprocedures,consultyourCASE
Dealer.
Makesureyouknowthepositionandfunctionofevery
control.Operatingthecontrolswronglycancauseseri-
ousphysicalinjury.Anymodicationtothismachinewith-
outpriorauthorizationcouldcauseseriousinjury.Donot
makeanymodicationswithoutauthorization.Consult
yourCASEDealer.Carefullyobservethemaintenance
intervalsindicatedinthismanual.
NOTICE:Ifyouusethemachineunderparticularlyse-
vereconditions(dustyorcorrosiveatmosphere,etc.),the
maintenanceintervalsshouldbereduced.
Beforeperforminganyoperationonthemachine,wear
tightclothesandpersonalsafetydevicesappropriatefor
theoperationtobecarriedout:

Safetyshoes
•
Heavygloves
•
Reectiveclothing
•
Wetweatherclothing
Iftheenvironmentconditionsmakeitnecessary,the
followingpersonalsafetyequipmentshouldbeathand:

Respirators(ordustproofmasks)
•
Earplugsoracousticearsprotections
•
Goggleswithlateralshieldormasksforeyesprotection
Beforeperforminganymaintenanceoperation,waitfor
theengineandallhydraulicsystemsandcomponentsto
cooldown.Cleanthegreasettingsbeforelubrication.
Beforellingoil,cleantheareaaroundplugsandnecks.
Preventthatdustordirtfromenteringthehydraulicsys-
temsorcomponents.
