resultfromslipperysurfaces.
Facethemachinewhenyoumountanddismountthemachine.
Maintainathree-pointcontactwithsteps,ladders,andhandholds.
Nevermountordismountfromamovingmachine.
Donotusethesteeringwheelorothercontrolsoraccessoriesashandholdswhenyouenterorexitthecaboroper-
ator’splatform.
Workingatheights
Whenthenormaluseandmaintenanceofthemachinerequiresyoutoworkatheights:

Correctlyuseinstalledsteps,ladders,andrailings.
•
Neveruseladders,steps,orrailingswhilethemachineismoving.
•
Donotstandonsurfacesthatarenotdesignatedasstepsorplatforms.
Donotusethemachineasalift,ladder,orplatformforworkingatheights.
Liftingandoverheadloads
Neveruseloaderbuckets,forks,etc.orotherlifting,handling,ordiggingequipmenttoliftpersons.
Donotuseraisedequipmentasaworkplatform.
Knowthefullareaofmovementofthemachineandequipmentanddonotenterorpermitanyonetoenterthearea
ofmovementwhilethemachineisinoperation.
Neverenterorpermitanyonetoentertheareaunderneathraisedequipment.Equipmentand/orloadscanfallunex-
pectedlyandcrushpersonsunderneathit.
Donotleaveequipmentinraisedpositionwhileparkedorduringservice,unlesssecurelysupported.Hydrauliccylin-
dersmustbemechanicallylockedorsupportediftheyareleftinaraisedpositionforserviceoraccess.
Loaderbuckets,forks,etc.orotherlifting,handling,ordiggingequipmentanditsloadwillchangethecenterofgravity
ofthemachine.Thiscancausethemachinetotiponslopesorunevenground.
Loaditemscanfallofftheloaderbucketorliftingequipmentandcrushtheoperator.Caremustbetakenwhenlifting
aload.Useproperliftingequipment.
Donotliftloadhigherthannecessary.Lowerloadstotransport.Remembertoleaveappropriateclearancetothe
groundandotherobstacles.
