Setup Menu: Outputs: TS Out: Transcode, Continued
B/R Mode
Description: This selects the transcode channel output bit rate mode.
Parameters: CBR or VBR.
HD Rate
Description: This sets the transcode channel output bit rate when HD MPEG-4/
AVC to HD MPEG-2 transcoding is selected.
Parameters: 10 to 25 Mb/s in 400 b/s increments.
GOP Control
Description: This selects the Transcode Group of Pictures (GOP) format.
Parameters: User GOP (MN), I Frame Sync or Fixed GOP.
User GOP (M N)
Description: This selects the transcode manual GOP format value. The transactor
attempts to reuse information from the encoded bit stream to
improve the video quality of the transcoded stream. Amongst
others, if the incoming GOP structure is similar to that of an MPEG-
2, it will reuse the frame allocations from the incoming stream as
long as GOP Control is set to I Frame Sync. If the downstream
receiver does not support altering GOP structures, set the GOP
Control setting to User GOP (MN). This will also require the setting
of the GOP structure which is given as two numbers, where the first
is the length of the GOP and the second is the number of B-pictures
per sub-GOP.
Parameters: Supported GOP structures - 1 0, 12 2, 15 2, 24 2 or 30 2.
3:2 Pulldown
Description: This enables or disables 3:2 pulldown.
Parameters: Enabled or Disabled.
