Zeroize_N
A ground on this pin sets the keys for FIPS 140-2 encryption /
decryption Module to zero.
53
NVIS__N
A ground on this pin invokes NVIS lighting mode to reduce the
brightness of the panel lighting (PMR only)
54, 55
Remote Radio Control
RX+/-
These pins receive an RS-422 data signal from the RCDU or
third party control head
56, 57
Antenna Control 2 TX
LO/HI
These pins provide an RS-422 control signal to the optional
tunable antenna 2.
58, 59
Antenna Control 2 RX
LO/HI
These pins accept an RS-422 feedback signal from the optional
tunable antenna 2.
60
5 VDC/28 VDC
Backlighting RTN
These pins provide the backlighting reference to the panel.
Selection of 5 VDC or 28 VDC is a programmable option The
RT-7000 PMR does not draw significant power from the
backlighting source, but only uses it as a reference. (PMR only)

Jack 1 PTT Out
This pin provides the status of External Radio 1 PTT (pin 35) to
the hand held radio connected to Jack 1
65
Jack 1 PTT Ground
This pin provides a ground return for the PTT signal to the
hand held radio connected to Jack 1
66
Ground
Backshell connection should be made to this pin. This pin
provides the ground connection to the backshell.
67
Cosite_TX_N
This pin engages a proprietary algorithm to prevent unwanted
receiver operation due to collocated transmitter interference.
NOTE: This pin functions similar to the Cobham FliteLine CVC-
151 TX_INTERLOCK and Rockwell’s Simulcomm. In many
installations, this pin can be driven from the PTT of an external
radio. Refer to the PMR installation manual for recommended
integration methods to external equipment. See Figure 77.
68
Antenna Switching Unit
3 Control
This pin provides control of an external Antenna Switching
Unit. This external control signal pulls the signal to ground to
indicate active. An active signal, or a signal pulled to ground,
represents the control channel is above 400MHz. When this
discrete is inactive, or respectively pulled high, the signal is
below 400MHz.
69, 70
Mic 1 In Hi/Lo
These pins accept an audio input for Audio 1 (default radio in
slot 1) with the following characteristics: Input Impedance:
1000 Ω ± 10% maximum. : Input Impedance: 1000 Ω ± 10%
maximum. : Circuitry type: Differential. : Input Gain Selectable:
10 mW, 25mW, 100mW. : Rated input: 7.75 Vrms ±0.25 Vrms
(100mW) nominal from 600 Ω ±10% audio source.
71
Jack 2 PTT Ground
This pin provides a ground return for the PTT signal to the
hand held radio connected to Jack 2
72
Jack 2 PTT Out
This pin provides the status of External Radio 2 PTT (pin 34) to
the hand held radio connected to Jack 2
