F180R MOTION Sensor User and Reference Guide
5.3.11 Outputs
Figure 89: MOTION Settings Wizard - Outputs
The F180R System has two RS-232 serial ports which are used to output real-time data from the
F180R System. There are a number of serial string outputs available and you can select the
most appropriate choice for your deployment.
The data bits, parity and stop bits are all set to 8, None and 1 respectively.
When making changes to the serial output only, the changes can be applied to the F180R
System without a reboot of the F180R System, if you have firmware version 131113 or newer
installed.
NOTE: There is a trade off between baud rates and update rates. If you set a low baud
rate and a high update rate, then you might not be able to receive the full contents of
each transmitted packet before the next one in the sequence begins transmission.
Generally, use the highest output baud rate that is compatible with the system to
which the RS232 data is being sent.
