F180R MOTION Sensor User and Reference Guide
Field
Description
Idle
No search currently taking place
L1
A search using the GPS L1 band
L2
A search using the GPS L2 band
L1/L2
A search using both the L1 and L2 bands simultaneously
Invalid
The current search is invalid
The Constraints field is a display of the number of constraints that the F180R System is
applying to constrain the final heading solution. This should increase when the heading
search is in progress.
The Satellites area displays status information regarding the satellites that are being used in
the current Heading Initialisation.
The Primary and Secondary field indicates the number of satellites that are currently visible
to the GPS receivers.
NOTE: The F180R System may choose not to use some of these due to enforcement of
quality constraints (such as a minimum elevation angle). At least 4 satellites are
needed for the F180R System to operate correctly, though the system will initialise
faster with more satellites.
The Master PRN ID field displays the Pseudo Random (Code) Number of the satellite that is
being used as the master.
The Slave 1 PRN ID, Slave 2 PRN ID and Slave 3 PRN ID fields display the slave satellites'
Pseudo Random (Code) Number.
5.5.3 Connection Properties
Selecting this option from the Home Tab -> Diagnostics -> Connection Properties displays a
summary of fields that report the performance of the data stream connection.
NOTE: The system may skip some data while the system starts up and gets initialised.
Therefore you should not be concerned if some Skipped Data or Dropped Packages are
listed. Once the system is running and initialised and the number of Skipped Data /
Dropped Packages should be stable, if it is still increasing you should check the
connections.
5.5.4 System Properties
Select Home Tab -> Diagnostics -> System Properties to display a summary of the system's
operating status. This interface displays low level diagnostic information including data
specific to each sub-system in the F180R System.
