4. When experiencing problems with ethernet MCOM data transmissions from either the
F180R System or MOTION Control it is possible to analyse the network traffic with a 3rd
party network traffic logger such as Ethereal. The UDP messages logged by Ethereal might
provide important information when seeking out network related errors.
6.4.2.4 Changing the IP Address
By default, the F180R System IP address is 195.0.0.180 with subnet 255.255.255.0. Initially, the
PC should be configured with a compatible IP address and subnet mask. If there is a
subsequent requirement to change the F180R System address then you can do so after making
the initial connection to the F180R System on the 195.0.0.xxx network address.
NOTE: The F180R System IP address can only be changed by first making connection on
the systems default network address.
This may be a requirement if the F180R System needs to be deployed on an existing network
on the vessel.
