F180R MOTION Sensor User and Reference Guide
Due to the time lag in the filter output, after the end of line has been reached the system will
take another 5 minutes and 15 seconds to output the iHeave data that coincides with the end
of line.
630 seconds (10 min 30 sec )
315 seconds (5 min 15 sec)
To assist you in managing the control of the data logging with respect to the lagging iHeave
output, there are several options in the application.

Stop Logging after iHeave delay
Stop Logging after iHeave delay and start new file
By using the Stop Logging After iHeave Delay options you can ensure that the motion data
acquired for your line will include enough data to allow computation of processed iHeave
throughout the full extent of the survey line length.
NOTE: If the file is stopped immediately at the end of line, the iHeave filter will not
have enough collated data to compute processed heave to the end of the line.
It is also possible for the filter to be reset and a delay incurred. This can occur if a number of
data packets are dropped in the transmission from the F180R System unit to the host PC. This
is most likely to occur if there is a fault with the network causing an interruption in the data
stream.
