Uploading a Configuration File
You can upload a file from the web browser to any of the files on the switch, except default-config, which
is read-only. The upload can replace the current file or create a new file in flash.
If the destination is running-config, the file will be applied to the switch configuration. This can be done in
two ways:
Replace mode: The current configuration is fully replaced with the configuration in the uploaded
file.
Merge mode: The uploaded file is merged into running-config.
If the file system is full (i.e., contains three system files plus user-defined files), you can't create new files.
In that case, you must either first delete an existing file or allow the upload to overwrite an existing file.
1. Use the navigation pane to find the appropriate page. Upload is under Maintenance > Configuration.
Click Upload.
2. Click the Browse button and find the file to upload.
