Customizing Configuration Settings
Configure Interface Settings
If after scanning the interface bar code from the previous table, your instal-
lation requires you to select options to further customize your reader, turn
to the appropriate section for your interface type in "Configuration Parame-
ters" st
arting on page 23.
Global Interface Features
See "Global Interface Features" on page 25 for settings configurable by all
interface types.
Configuring Other Features
If your installation requires different programming than the standard factory
default settings, the following sections of this manual allow configuration of
non-interface-specific settings you might require. Go to Configuration
Using Bar Codes, starting on page 23 for a complete list of available options.
Software Version Transmission
The software version of the device and of the base can be transmitted over
the RS-232 and Keyboard interfaces by scanning the following labels.

Battery Health
Battery Health can be transmitted by scanning the following label. The out-
put is expressed in
percentage.
“Charge” represe
nts the charging state. (100% means completely charged).
“Health” represents an estimation of the residual life of the battery. (100%
means a new battery).
