Steps
1. Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the WWAN-module shield to the system board.
2. Lift the WWAN-module shield off the WWAN module.
3. Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the WWAN-module bracket to the system board.
4. Lift the WWAN-module bracket off the WWAN module.
5. Disconnect the WWAN-antenna cables from the connectors on the WWAN module.
6. Slide and remove the WWAN module from the WWAN-module slot (WWAN1) on the system board.
NOTE:
There is a reusable Mylar sheet with thermal pads beneath the WWAN module. When replacing the system
board, this Mylar sheet should be transferred to the new replacement system board.
Installing the WWAN module
NOTE: This procedure applies only to computers shipped with a WWAN module installed.
Prerequisites
If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
