6.2 Software Event Indication
The device is capable to detect several types of events that are reported to the
Web Interface and to the M&C system. Either the M&C system has to poll the
device for these events or it is informed via an alarm trap, assuming that the
specific SNMP trap is enabled.
6.2.1 Power Events
The power supply of the device is monitored. In case that a defective power supply
or that a communication problem with the power module is detected, a corre-
sponding event is generated.
Power Supply [i] (i = {1…2})
Note:
If power supply monitoring (please refer to chapter 5.6.3.9) is disabled, none of
the events above will be reported.
6.2.2 Switch Module Events
The communication with (and the functionality of) the up to two switch modules is
monitored. In case that a malfunction is detected, an event is generated.
Switch Module [i] (i = {1…2})
6.2.3 Input Module Events
If the communication with the LED/push button units of the device panel (please
refer to chapter 3.1.1) fails, an event is generated. There is installed one unit for
older revisions of the DEV 1951 and there are installed two units for the current
revision of the DEV 1951.
Input Module [i] (i = {1…2})
6.2.4 RF Level Monitoring Events
If the device is equipped with sensing switch modules, the RF level of each input
port is monitored (i.e. up to 4 ports) and an event is generated in case that the
RF level falls below the defined RF threshold level.
