3.6 Electrical Installation
CAUTION
Carry out wiring work only after the variable frequency drive has 
been correctly mounted and secured.
DANGER
Electric shock hazard - risk of injuries!
Carry out wiring work only if the unit is de-energized.
NOTICE
Fire hazard!
Only use cables, circuit-breakers, and contactors that feature 
the indicated permissible nominal current value.
NOTICE
On DC1 variable frequency drives, earth leakage currents can be 
greater than 3.5 mA (AC).
Accordingly, as per IEC/EN 61800-5-1, an additional protective 
conductor must be connected or the protective conductor’s 
cross-sectional area must be at least 10 mm
2
.
DANGER
The components in the variable frequency drive’s power section 
remain energized up to five (5) minutes after the supply voltage 
has been switched off (intermediate circuit capacitor discharging 
time).
