Term Definition
In return path monitoring, a tap is an input on a Test Point
Selector or a CLEARPath module.
tap number
Part of the Electroline address. A number assigned to a
subscriber connection, a CLEARPath module or a TPS input.
Tap numbering is independent of the embossed numbers on
addressable devices.
