3. To change the Control Unit’s time, type
time
followed by the current time in the format
hh:mm:ss, and press <Enter>. Note that all users can display the time, but only full-
access users can set the time.
A message confirming the new time appears:
CU4>time 14:31:04
Current time is: 14:31:04
The time displayed may differ slightly from the actual time (±1 second).
3.6.3 Setting the date
To set the date on the Control Unit:
1. Press <Enter> to display the CU4> prompt.
2. To display the Control Unit’s current date, type
date
and press <Enter>. A message
displaying the date appears:
CU4>date
Current date is: Tuesday, 11-06-2001
The date display format is: Weekday, mm-dd-yyyy.
3. To set the Control Unit’s date, type
date
, enter the current date in the format
ww-mm-dd-yy and press <Enter>. Note that all users can display the date, but only full-
access users can set the date.
ww = weekday expressed as a number from 1-7; the first day of the week is Sunday (1).
mm = month expressed as a number from 1-12
dd = day of the month
yy = year expressed as the last two digits of the year; year 2000 is represented by
double zeroes (00)
A message confirming the new date appears:
CU4>date 06-11-09-01
Current date is Friday, 11-06-2001
