OBP example
Enter the following command to set the status to pay for a subscriber with the group/tap
address 2033, 12.
CU4>stap pay 2033,12
Group 2033 Tap 12 : pay
Multi-tier example
For a multi-tier system, enter a letter from a to h for the status. You can enter one or more of
these values, for example a, afh or abcdefgh.
Enter the following command to set the status to b for a subscriber with the group/tap
address 20, 12.
CU4>stap b 20,12
Group 20 Tap 12 : b
To make sure that a subscriber’s status has been changed in the Control Unit’s memory, use
the
tap
command (see section 4.3).
4.3 Displaying subscriber statuses
To display a subscriber status for a specific group/tap address:
1. Press <Enter> to display the CU4> prompt.
2. Type
tap
<group,tap> and press <Enter>.
group: 1 to maximum number of groups
tap: 1 to 64 for an OBP system, 1 to 16 for a multi-tier system
Possible statuses that will be displayed:
OBP off: no service
basic: basic service
pay: extended basic service
xxx: basic and pay, for an inclusive service only; otherwise, this
status should not appear
Multi-tier from a to h (inclusive services)
off

Enter the following command to display the status for a subscriber with the group/tap
address 344, 5.
CU4>tap 344,5
Group 344 Tap 5: off
