OBP example
Enter the following command to set the status of the subscribers in groups 455 to 457 to pay.
You must enter the status (pay) followed by the first group number (455), then enter the total
number of groups that you want the command to affect (3).
CU4>sgrp pay 455,3
Group 455 to 457 set to pay
Multi-tier example
For a multi-tier system, enter a, b, c, d, e, f, g and h for the status. You can enter one or more
of these values, for example, a, afh or abcdefgh.
Enter the following command to set the status to abdf for the subscribers in groups 40 to 46
inclusive. You must enter the status (abdf) followed by the first group’s number (40) and the
total number of groups that you want the command to affect (7).
CU4>sgrp abdf 40,7

To make sure that the subscriber status has been changed in the Control Unit’s memory, use
the
grp
command (see section 4.5).
4.5 Displaying a group’s tier status
To display the subscriber statuses in the same group:
1. Press <Enter> to display the CU4> prompt.
2. Type
grp
<group [,number of groups]> and press <Enter>.
You can enter a single group number or a range of consecutive group numbers, and the
Control Unit will display the status for all taps in the range. The parameter for the
number of groups is optional. If you do not enter the number of groups, its default value
will be 1.
group: 1 to maximum number of groups
number of groups: starting group + number of groups ^ maximum number of groups
Possible statuses that will be displayed:
OBP off: no service
basic: basic service
pay: extended basic service
xxx: basic and pay, for an inclusive service only; otherwise this
status should not appear
Multi-tier from a to h (inclusive services)
