2. Lubricate o-ring seals with clean engine oil.
CAUTION: Make sure the fuel tube clicks into place
when installing the tube. To make sure that the fuel
tube is fully seated, pull on the tube.
3. Fit the male fitting into female end and push until the
garter spring snaps over the flared end of the female
fitting.
4. Make sure the coupling is engaged by pulling on the
lines and install the safety clip.
Spring Lock Coupling - Type II - Disconnect
WARNING: REFER TO WARNINGS AT THE
BEGINNING OF THIS SECTION.
1. Relieve the fuel system pressure -- Refer to“Fuel
Pressure Relief” on page 31 of this section.
2. Disconnect the safety clip from the male hose.
3. Install the fuel tube disconnect tool 310-S039 and
push into fitting.
4. Separate the fitting.
Spring Lock Coupling - Type II - Connect
1. Inspect for damage and clean fittings.
CAUTION: Make sure the fuel tube clicks into place
when installing the tube. To make sure that the fuel
tube is fully seated, pull on the tube.
2. Lubricate the tube end with clean engine oil to ease
assembly.
3. Align and push the tube into the fitting until you hear
a click.
4. Pull on the fitting to make sure it is fully engaged,
