Do not secure the AC adapter cord and USB cable to
the cable holder in the following situations.
❏ If the scanner or other objects are placed on top of
the cord and cable
❏ If the cords and cables are twisted, extremely bent,
or otherwise placed under stress
❏ If the cords and cables are tangled

DC inlet Connects the AC adapter.

USB port Connects a USB cable.

Scanner cover Pull the lever and open the scanner cover when cleaning
inside the scanner and removing jammed paper.

Separation roller Feeds originals separately one by one. This needs to be
replaced when the number of scans exceeds the service
number of papers.

Pickup roller Feeds originals. Roller needs to be replaced when the number
of scans exceeds the service number of papers.
