DTP CrossPoint 4K Series Matrix Switchers • Installation 16
M
S/PDIF output (see figure 6 and figure 7 on the previous page) — Connect as
OUT
S/PDIF device to this RCA jack to receive audio from the HDMI 6, 4, or 2 digital
stream (see S/PDIF output connector on page 23 to wire this connector).
N
DMP Expansion port and Link LED (see figure 6 and figure 7)—
Port — Connect an STP cable between this port and the Expansion port
on an optional Extron DMP 128 ProDSP Digital Matrix Processor. The
DMP 128 includes a shielded 1-foot cable. See Expansion Port Operation within the
DSP on page 146 for using the audio system scalability, expanded audio processing,
and signal routing functions). No setup is required; just connect the two devices.
LED — Lights to indicate that the port is connected to a compatible device.

Over TP input ports — Connect serial RS-232 signals, modulated
IR,
signals or both, to these 3.5 mm, 5-pole captive screw connectors (ground
pin is shared) to insert bidirectional RS-232 and IR communications onto the
associated inputs (see Serial and IR port connectors on page 23 to wire
the cables).
The following table identifies the Over TP inputs by matrix size.
