Setup and Installation Checklist
Preparation
c Familiarize yourself with the DTP CrossPoint 4K Series matrix switcher.
c Obtain IP setting information for the matrix switcher from the local network administrator
(see the IPCP Pro Series User Guide at www.extron.com).
Physical installation
c If desired, install the switcher in a rack (see Mounting the Switcher on page 170).
c Cable input and output devices (see Video and TP Input and Output Connections
and Switches on page 12).
c If desired, connect computers or control systems to any of the remote control ports (a
serial port [see item

on page 17], a USB port [see item

on page 24], and a LAN
port [see item

on page 17]) on the switcher.
c Connect power (see item

on page 18).
c Test the switcher by creating a tie (see Example 1: Create a set of video and audio
ties on page 36).
c If desired, create and replace button labels (see Removing and Installing Button
Labels on page 171).

c Install the Product Configuration Software and DSP Configurator software on a PC
