X-ray System Troubleshooting
Testing the X-ray Generator
If the X-ray Generator is not generating, begin troubleshooting by
verifying the following:
1. Is the X-ray Source Function set to Present and the X-ray Status
Function turned on?
• If the X-ray Source Function setting is Not Present, the
system will not know it is an X-ray enabled model and the
X-ray options will not be activated in the system software.
• If the X-ray Status Function is turned off, Error 123 appears
and the beacon flashes to indicate that inspection can not
commence until the X-ray Generator is enabled.
2. Check the diagnostic LEDs on the X-ray Generator. Use the
following definitions and flow chart to interpret the LEDs.
• The green LED indicates the generator is receiving the
proper 24 volts from the main power supply.
• The red LED indicates that x-rays are being generated. The
red LED lights 20 seconds before the x-rays are emitted at
maximum strength.
• The yellow LED indicates there is malfunction and the
generator should be replaced.
