Example C: Poly-Phase and Single-Phase From the same
Distribution System
1. Neutral must be grounded at the main power panel.
2. Connect the FT-70 ground stud to the plant Earth ground. Do
not connect the FT-70 neutral (white) to the ground stud.
3. The FT-70 hot wire (black) can be connected to any of the three
legs (phases).
4. In this system the leg to leg (Ø1 to Ø2, Ø2 to Ø3, and Ø1 to Ø3)
voltage is 208 VAC. Any leg to neutral is 120 VAC (Europe
380/220).
